Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum) is a flowering plant that produces seeds. These whole seeds are then ground into a powder. Milk thistle seeds have an active ingredient of a flavonoid compound called silymarin.
Silymarin, has been widely researched and it may help improve liver function. silymarin in milk thistle seeds has hepatoprotective (the ability of a substance to prevent liver damage) properties. And, research on milk thistle seeds has also been found to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions.

Suggested use once per day:
Less than 30 lbs = 1/2 tsp
31 to 80 lbs = 1 tsp
More than 81 lbs = 1 1/2 tsp
Use for seven to fourteen days and then take a break.
